In 2019, just before the coronavirus pandemic, the operations team at Response 24 were set with the task of putting together our biggest event yet. The London Soul Town Festival.
In partnership with London Ambulance Service, we provided emergency ambulance services within a 1 area of the London Soul Town Festival venue, along with this we provided 24 hour medical support to 10,000 people at the festival. Did we pull it off? Yes! Yes we did. 3 patients conveyed to the nearest A&E & 8 discharged on scene. Thanks to our team being able to provide the ambulance services on the day, that prevented 3 emergency frontline ambulance being dispatched to the event.
In 2020/2021 we held the contract for providing compliance and mandatory training for the Guy's & St Thomas non-emergency patient transport service. We provided a wide range of training to the trust, ensuring all of their patient transport staff were fully compliant with Care Quality Commission requirements. These included, practical, theory and ambulance training.
In 2019/2020 the operations team held the contract for the Kent County Cricket Club. We provided ambulance services and event medical cover, on all training and match days at their clubs in Kent, East Sussex & London. We provided covid care for staff, volunteers and members of the public prior to entry of the venue.
In 2020, we provided event medical services, for a number of the Demelza Hospice fundraiser events. These included, their Bubble Rush events in Kent & London. We also provided roadside ambulance services, for their London Landmarks Half Marathon Run.
For the last two years now we have supported our friends at the Kent County Show at Quex Park, Kent. We provided event first aid and medical services to members of the public and entertainment staff.
